I ordered the Klimaire 24000. I installed the unit (instructions are terrible) and after some difficulty (problems with the power cables and the copper tubes bend like cardboard), it finally turned on and the fan began running, and air was coming out, and the thermostat was set to 76, so I let it run for an hour, but the air is still not blowing cold...I contacted the manufacture for help. But no response from them yet.
It came with an "installation kit" - but my neighbor told me that the "installation kit" (just some wires and copper tube) doesn't have everything I need to install it. So I guess I need some other equipment to install this thing: vacuum pump, freon, evacuation equipment, etc... to get this thing working. I'm going to hire a professional A/C guy tomorrow but my neighbor said it would have been much cheaper to just have the A/C guy come and install his own unit.
