Think very hard before buying this machine.We bought it with the hope it might actually cool down a room, or at least keep a room comfortable, but alas nothing of the sort was achieved.Instead we are left with a frightfully noisy and large thing that fails simply does not work.

It is besides a very poorly engineered machine, demanding that one spends half an hour at a time just adding or subtracting one of the hoses depending on how hot it is outside.And then one is left to refit it to the window, which cannot be done without copious amounts of unsightly gaffer tape.The instruction guide is so idiotically conceived as to explain, with an entire page of the booklet, how to fit batteries into the remote, yet not a word was written on how to connect any of the hoses, nor how to adjust the vent.

It should be a crime that such a machine be allowed to be sold.Do yourself a favor and buy something, anything, else.

Providing cooler, fresher air for rooms up to 250 square feet, this portable four-in-one unit functions as a 9,000-BTU air conditioner, a 4,100-BTU heater, a 47-pint-per-day dehumidifier, and a three-speed fan with auto, high, and low settings. During the cooling or heating process, its self-evaporating system extracts water from the air into the unit. Most of this water then gets recycled and used to cool the cooling coils for more efficient operation. Excess moisture gets pushed out with the exhaust air, resulting in a virtually no-drain unit. In extreme humid conditions, if condensation collects faster than it can evaporate, the excess water will collect in the built-in tank. When the tank becomes full, the compressor automatically shuts off and the "drainage needed" indicator illuminates (continuous drainage recommended when running in Heat mode).
The air conditioner also comes equipped with a dual-hose system that provides fast cooling. With one hose for air intake and the other for air exhaust, there's no negative pressure created inside the room. The unit's thermostat can be adjusted from 64 to 90 degrees F, while its digital thermostat control, LCD display, and remote control ensure simple operation. Choose between continuous "on" or the programmable timer, which can be preset up to 24 hours. The unit also supplies a washable air filter, a built-in water tank or extended water tube for continuous drainage, and an easy-grip handle and casters for convenient mobility. Other highlights include fire-resistant PVC plastic housing, a rotary compressor, auto-swing louvers, an extendable exhaust hose (up to 5-1/2 feet), and Re-start IC Technology (unit restarts when power resumes after a power failure).
